I went out with my coworkers last night. We went to watch Hotel for Dogs and to eat and then dancing. I didn't want to go but I wanted to be social so I went. Well I was following my boss home to her house so that I could pick my daughter, her kids were watching for us. It was late probably close to 3 am and she was going too fast and I didn't realize because I was tired and I'm not used to dirt roads so I didn't realize it was too fast and I hit a patch of soft sand and rolled twice.

She was going to fast on the dirt road and I was too tired and too inexperienced to realize that. I hit some soft sand and rolled the car twice. I had my seatbelt on, I didn't panic or anything. I walked away with a twisted ankle and some lacerations.

The boss saw my lights turn off and came to get me, I was already out of the car, on my hands and knees. She helped me up and I stumbled to her van and she took me to her house (her kids were watching my kid) and we called the hubby and the cops and such.

I walked away with a twisted ankle, lacerations on my neck and side/lower back, some minor scrapes/cuts and a bit of a stiff neck. And I'm stiff and sore as fuck.

But I'm okay, the car was fully insured.

I'm sooo sad! My poor pretty baby car! The mitsu was MY car too. I loved that god damned car! Poor poor molly is gone!

maybe I can use the time to catch up on comments, though I hurt like hell so maybe not. I love you all and wish I could keep on top of those but I'm not sure I can manage to get them answered.

Oh no! I'm glad you're okay! I'm going to rescue Charles, an hour away, and it's the first time I've driven in a month. I probably shouldn't have read this, but there aren't any dirt roads involved...

Wear your seatbelt and drive slow. I was tired and probably should have left but me and my damn 'must make sure the people drinking get home safely' protectiveness is what screwed my ass.

*squint* Oh, fic journal?

We ended up doing a LOT more driving around than I expected (will post on that in a bit), but no ill effects and no accidents, and we always always always wear our seatbelts.

OMG, kiterie, that is horrible to hear but thank god you are alright. But i'm so sorry to hear about your little molly!!!! Please take it easy as even after you have an accident that you are able to walk away from, there are still after affects so you need to take the next few weeks as easy as possible. But i'm super happy to hear you are alright.

I keep reminding myself it could have been so much worse because I want to curl up in a ball and cry over my poor car, over my own stupidity of letting my concern for others push me beyond my limits, and over the realization that as bad as things could have been they really f'n suck as they are. Financially this is a horrible freaking blow

I hope everything gets better quickly. rolling your car is a rather terrifying experience even if you walk away from it.

I wasn't really scared... more irritated/frustrated over everything... last thing I need right now is another bill. Well that and busy hurting like hell. I look like crap with all these damn bruises and I can barely move with the twisted ankle and the abrasion on my side.

that is true. hopefully you got the wonderful secondary insurance that covers what the first insurance doesn't. that always comes in handy.

our car insurance was full coverage and had some stuff for medical included in it and my insurance through work should cover 85% of the rest.

Full coverage, at least here, only covers the estimated value of the car. I had a friend just run into that. Luckily he had a secondary insurance or they were going to charge him 2000 dollars for the difference between what he still owed and what the first full coverage would pay.

Ours covers estimated value of the car(which is about what we owe), medical bills up to 4500 (no deductible), and 85% of pay missed from sick leave... maybe other stuff too not sure.

that's good. so you won't be in debt from it. which is a good thing. Sort of. Hopefully the rest will go smoothly for you.
